Figures of Shamans in transformation, vessels that emulate the sound of animals when water is poured into them, warrior weapons and ornaments, are part of the collection of the “Casa del Alabado” Pre-Columbian Museum. This museum has approximately 5000 archaeological pieces of ceramics, wood and textiles; Each one of them represents a journey through the history of the pre-Columbian civilizations that inhabited the territory of Ecuador.
By walking the corridors of the old 16th century house in which the Museum operates, you will be able to discover the incredible artistic technique and rituals, social, spiritual and political practices of the ancestral peoples. This museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, so we recommend planning your visit on these days.
